Learn about the latest legislation and how to manage asbestos safely
ATaC is pleased to announce that ‘Know your Responsibilities for Managing Asbestos’ seminars will be held in September and November.
These half day seminars will be held on 28th September in Glasgow and 23rd November in London, and are being supported by the Health and Safety Executive (HSE).
The ATaC seminars will cover a number of subjects including the forthcoming analysts guide from the HSE, importance of asbestos exposure monitoring data, clients’ duties under the CDM 2015 regulations, and duty holders legal responsibilities of managing the risks from asbestos.
These seminars will be invaluable to all those with the duty to manage asbestos, including; property owners, facility and estate managers, construction managers, health and safety professionals, as well as asbestos analysts and removal contractors; in sectors such as; construction, housing, education, local authority, NHS, retail and manufacturing.

On Monday 17 th of November we will be hosting a regional meeting for our members at our ARCA headquarters in Burton upon Trent, we will be hosting another one on the 26th November at ARCA training centre Rayleigh Essex.
The team at ATaC are planning on hosting several regional meetings for our members, the first one on the 18th of November 2014 will include a guest speaker, Colin Seditas, an ex HSE inspector who will answer questions on the Analyst Project.
The aims of our regional meetings are to engage with our members and ensure that we are on hand to answer any questions they might have. We intend to host as many regional meetings as necessary in order to ensure that all our members have the chance to join us.

Only a small number of staff to train?
Your staff can join one of the scheduled public courses we provide for our popular programmes. If we don’t have a scheduled course, we will either link your staff with others to provide a cost effective programme for you, or put your staff onto a short waiting list and advise you of the likely timescale for the next course.
If you have a larger number of staff, we can provide standard courses at our one of the six locations or
conveniently at your own venue, providing you have access to the appropriate facilities. In-house training can prove to be more cost effective and minor amendments can sometimes be incorporated to suit your specific requirements.
We can develop bespoke solutions with you, to define your training objectives and provide an appropriate training programme either to include your own relevant systems and procedures, or to cover organisation specific training requirements. Read more →
